About the Role
Northbeam is looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to join its small but mighty Business Intelligence team. You will be joining a dynamic team of generalists to build and expand the "data backbone" of Northbeam's business operations.
This role reports directly to the CTO.
Your Impact
- Own end-to-end internal ELT data pipelines: from API ingestion all the way to self-serve dashboards.
- Build and maintain canonical data models and metric definitions (for product adoption, usage, and marketing metrics).
- Build dashboards and shared analytics tools to support decision making, data-driven content, and self-serve BI.
- Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and other internal teams to translate business questions into data requirements.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance of data pipelines.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics or data engineering supporting product teams.
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Data Science is preferred.
- Strong proficiency with SQL and Python.Experience with ELT data pipeline tooling and systems (e.g. dbt, Airflow, BigQuery).
- Experience with schema design and evolution for internal data warehouses.
- Ownership mindset and an ability to drive projects end-to-end with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Bonus Skills & Experience
- Experience with media buying, marketing attribution, or ecommerce.
- Experience with JavaScript.

Interview Process
The interview process varies by role but typically begins with a 30-minute interview with a Northbeam recruiter, followed by a video interview with the hiring manager. Next, candidates complete a role-specific video interview followed by video or onsite interviews with several team members. The final step is a video interview with our CEO/Co-founder. The entire interview process is usually 5-7 interviews total and requires around 5-8 hours of your time.
