The role
We’re looking for a Power Markets Analyst with a strong background in data science and Python to support technical analyses across internal teams and customer engagements. You’ll be responsible for leveraging data and advanced modeling to support sales opportunities, meet customer requirements, and contribute to internal performance management and reporting. The ideal candidate will have experience in energy-related roles and excel at solving technical challenges, with a strong focus on data analysis and Python. This position is pivotal in helping Tyba enhance its modeling capabilities for renewable energy infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed technical analyses to support sales opportunities, customer engagements, and internal reporting.
- Develop python-based models and scripts, construct data pipelines, and generate insights from timeseries-based modeling.
- Support internal teams with analyses that inform strategic decisions around pricing, dispatch optimization, and bidding models.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that technical deliverables align with business objectives.
Skills and experience:
- Strong technical proficiency, including in Excel, Python, and API-based solutions.
- 1-3 years of experience, with a focus on data science, market analysis, and/or energy-related technical roles.
- Ability to distill complex datasets into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with energy markets, trading, or infrastructure financing is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: $90K-$120K, depending on experience and qualifications.
