SILQ’s core mission is to simplify global trade and create a cost-effective and sustainable supply chain that is accessible to everyone. Thinking about supply chain optimization from first principles, The team in India will focus on building the next generation of tooling for factories and a mobile application to collect quality data from the field and help us benchmark and improve factory performance. We are looking for a detail-oriented, results-driven Associate Product Manager to join our dynamic team and help drive the success of our products.
Some of the problems we need to solve next year:
- Real time tracking of shipments - tracking ships, planes and trucks. Although this is a solved problem for passenger assets, cargo vehicle tracking is still in its nascent stages.
- Automating document digitization - Our mission involves revolutionizing an archaic industry which involves a lot of physical documents which require considerable operational effort to digitize.
- Automated Quote Generation - generate quotes automatically based on Request for Quotes from clients, with a rule engine to decide and action with different intents
- Scaling up our collaboration systems - comments, direct messaging and notification systems
- Robust payment infrastructure so that our users across the globe can pay factories and Silq.
- Mobile app to “uber”ize factory inspections. Anyone with a phone should be able to perform an AQL inspection.
Key Responsibilities:
Problem Discovery:
- Collaborate across teams (Engineering, Design, Operations) to identify pain points and business problems.
- Conduct research, including customer / Operator interviews to refine problem statements.
- Help prioritize problems to solve based on business goals, customer impact, and feasibility.
- Conduct discovery sessions (both internal and external) to gather feedback and identify needs for product development.
- Work in interviews to uncover pain points, expectations, and product fit.
Enhancement & Maintenance:
- Manage the lifecycle of ongoing product enhancements, from ideation to execution, through gathering these independently as well as from user interviews.
- Own the enhancements with development teams to ensure features are enhanced as per the evolving needs of users and the business (accounting for scalability)
- Regularly assess product performance and identify & document areas for improvement.
Product Support:
- Be the first line of defence in managing Bugs whenever raised
- Understanding and validating the nature of the bug - and working with engineering to resolve and rollout
- Managing the active Bug list and ensuring continuous rollouts for fixes
Training & Rollout Maintenance:
- Create easy to understand training material for new features and flows released in the Product
- Coordinate and assist in training efforts for internal teams, ensuring they are well-equipped with product knowledge.
- Support and track the successful rollout of new features and product updates.
- Monitor and address any post-rollout issues or feedback from users.
Product Success Metric Ownership:
- Work with Product and other stakeholders to - define, track, and report on product success metrics (e.g., usage, customer satisfaction, retention, etc.).
- Work independently and with the Data person to generate the success metrics while rolling out features, in MixPanel
- Collaborate in stakeholder discussions to ensure alignment on key metrics and product goals.
Testing & QA Ownership:
- Lead the testing and quality assurance process for new features, updates, and bug fixes.
- Develop test plans, conduct tests, and ensure issues are identified and resolved.
- Collaborate with Engineering to ensure product quality before release.
Solving Simple Business Problem Statements:
- Own smaller product features or tasks, identifying problems, proposing solutions, and delivering improvements.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to define scope, timeline, and success criteria.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Experience: 1-3 years of experience in product management, Data Analytics, Consulting, or a related field involving analyzing and breaking down problem statements into actionable areas
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to ingest information from multiple sources and work with the Product Manager to define actionable areas
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycle and testing methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to Agile methodologies.
- Experience in product testing and QA processes.
- Demonstrated experience in solving business problems
- Data analytics and / or experience with SQL is a plus
