The Opportunity:

Silq’s Operations Team is at the heart of delighting our customers, managing our partners and working closely with our technology teams to drive innovation through process automation. With our focus on developing a global network, our operational teams are strategically located across the world to manage and execute our services and products offered to our customers and partners.

As an Operations Associate, you are responsible for executing the shipment lifecycle for Ocean & Air imports, ensuring data integrity is maintained at the highest standard, and proactively minimizing delays with urgency.

Role Responsibilities:

Shipment Management and Partner Management

Own the end-to-end shipment process, ensuring quality and timeliness:

  • Take full responsibility for maintaining the highest standard of Silq quality, ensuring shipments move on-time and handling exceptions proactively.
  • Drive effective communication with trucking and warehousing partners, taking ownership of shipment progress and partner relationships.

Process Adherence and Performance Optimization

Take charge of your performance and adherence to company standards:

  • Embrace and champion Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), taking personal responsibility for meeting KPIs and SLAs.
  • Proactively use metrics to identify and implement improvements in your role, owning your performance and data quality.

Continuous Improvement and Stakeholder Communication

Lead in fostering cross-functional relationships and driving ongoing enhancements:

  • Empower appropriate sales and account management team members by participating in feedback loops to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Actively seek and implement opportunities for improvement, taking ownership of your professional growth and contribution to the team's success.

In this role, you will need

  • Bachelor's/Associate's degree
  • 2+ years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, transportation, ocean carrier operations (cross-border trucking knowledge is a plus)
  • Ability to adapt to new technology and can thrive in a fast paced environment
  • Effective time management. Be able to properly prioritize and manage a large volume of tasks
  • Effective communication both verbally and in writing
  • Proficient in Google Suite
