Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior or Staff eBPF and Go Engineer to join our agent team working on the Parca Agent. This role requires expertise in eBPF and Go, with a strong focus on developing high-performance, scalable, and reliable software. If you do not have eBPF experience, then a strong understanding of the Linux kernel is okay as well. Do not hesitate to apply even if you don’t meet all the criteria.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain eBPF-based tools and applications.
• Contribute to the development of the open-source Parca Agent project written in Go.
• Lead the design and implementation of new features and optimizations.
• Ensure code quality, maintainability, and scalability.
• Keep up with the emerging trends and technologies in the eBPF and profiling ecosystems.
• Collaborate with customers to help them troubleshoot and learn from their challenges and improve the Parca agent.
• Build out Polar Signals' continuous profiling product and other future SaaS products.
• Act as a technical mentor to other team members.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on Go, C, C++ or Rust.
• Deep understanding of Linux internals and kernel development.
• Experience with performance analysis, observability tools, and systems programming.
• Proven track record of building large scale, complex distributed systems.
• Autonomously deliver production ready features.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
