What we're looking for
The Capital Markets Associate will play a key role in supporting OatFi’s funding and revenue strategy. Reporting to the Director of Capital Markets, you will assist in structuring, negotiating, and executing funding initiatives that drive OatFi’s growth and scale.
In this role, you will support the development, implementation, and automation of OatFi’s funding strategy, working closely with the Capital Markets Lead and other team members to align with the company's medium-to-long term product roadmap. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of structured credit and debt capital markets, mastery of Excel with SQL background preferred, with the ability to apply this knowledge to support the company’s strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
Support the development and execution of OatFi’s Capital Markets strategy to facilitate the company’s rapid growth.
Assist in managing the dialogue with capital providers and outside counsel, supporting the deal processes from structuring and negotiation to documentation and execution.
Assist in the management and oversight of existing credit facilities, ensuring compliance with covenants and optimizing the utilization of available capital.
Monitor and report on the performance of existing funding facilities.
Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Commercial, and Credit/Risk teams to help drive scalability and manage multiple financing facilities.
Prepare detailed credit models and presentations to support fundraising efforts and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
Assist in the preparation of a weekly borrowing base and draw requests, managing relationships with current financing facilities.
Collaborate on the building of relevant reporting using tools available including but not limited to SQL.
The ideal candidate
2-4+ years in structured finance, fixed-income investing, trading, private equity, consulting, or product/strategy roles.
Knowledge of ABL financing structures a requirement with Repo/Warehouse financing experience a plus.
Deep understanding of structured credit and ability to translate a complex underwriting framework to capital partners.
Understanding of financial services, various lending & trade finance products, and payments infrastructure.
Ability to reason through first principles of value and structure and think outside of the box.
Experience in FinTech is a big plus.
Excel mastery is a prerequisite with SQL skills a plus.
