Capchase is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while working closely with senior leadership. As a key member of the Finance and Admin team, you will contribute to the timely and accurate execution of financial reporting, account reconciliation, and month-end close processes.

🚀 The Job

  • Oversee daily global accounts payable processes, ensuring proper approvals and timely entry into the vendor management system.

  • Coordinate with external payroll providers to support monthly payroll operations, ensuring accurate data transfer, reconciliation, and on-time payments for entities in Spain and the UK.

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, ensuring transactions and consolidations comply with U.S. GAAP standards.

  • Contribute to special projects, ad-hoc reporting, financial analysis, and other assignments as needed.

  • Reconcile multi-currency bank accounts on a daily basis by compiling, balancing financial data, and posting journal entries in NetSuite with appropriate supporting documentation.

  • Maintain subsidiary accounting records through balance sheet analysis and general ledger account management.

  • Help safeguard sensitive financial information by supporting the development and maintenance of internal databases.

  • Identify and correct accounting discrepancies, posting necessary journal entry adjustments.

  • Prepare fixed asset depreciation schedules and accruals, and manage monthly prepaid expense schedules.

  • Manage daily Ramp credit card feeds, monitor team credit card usage, and ensure all transactions are supported with receipts and proper approvals.

  • Perform daily cash sweeps and prepare cash reconciliation reports to maintain accurate liquidity tracking.

  • Continuously expand accounting knowledge through participation in training programs and review of relevant publications.

🧠 Required Experience/Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred

  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on accounting experience, with a strong emphasis on payroll and tax processes

  • Prior experience conducting or supporting financial statement audits

  • Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced, startup environment

  • Strong commitment to process optimization and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset

  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills

  • Demonstrated ownership mentality with a drive for continuous improvement and personal accountability

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Sheets, etc.)

  • Experience with NetSuite or other cloud-based accounting systems is preferred

  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Spanish
